Making complex products
feel simple.

Hi, I’m Ziying, a product designer focused on making complex tools easier to use. My work spans AI creator tools and healthcare, helping people turn generated content into something useful and find the information they need for clinical learning.

A LITTLE ABOUT ME

Understanding the work
behind the interface.

I start by understanding how people move through a task: what they need to know, which decisions they make, and where they get stuck. I use research and workflow analysis to connect individual features into a coherent experience, then refine the interactions and visual details that help people act with confidence.

My background in industrial design, followed by Information and Design Science at the University of Michigan, informs how I work across the larger system and its details.
